“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you,” Isaiah 43:2.
My life comes in waves—a lot of highs and lows, and every once in a while, a break of complete serenity. At my lowest points, I cling to my faith, which eases me into a season of “you got this,” and from there, things just keep looking up. Then, out of nowhere, a storm hits. It’s an ever-revolving cycle!
Now, if you grew up in the church like me, you most likely heard your life be compared to walking through a large body of water, with cyclical highs and lows. As a child, this concept didn’t mean much to me. However, as a young adult navigating through the obstacles of life, I recognize this to be true. What a blessing it is to know the Lord, My Savior, is waiting with a life raft, ready to carry me across the deepest, rockiest of waters.
“Your grace abounds in deepest waters, your sovereign hand will be my guide,” Oceans, by Hillsong United.
I share this because I personally am moving out of wavy waters, and into a season of reliance on my “lifeguard.” It feels so amazing to have finally found balance again. I reap the benefits of His love when I rely on Him, and so can you!
